Lion Brand Broken Rice is the same high quality jasmine rice however the grains have been fragmented. Due to the different size and shape of the grains, broken rice has a different, softer texture from “unbroken” rice and absorbs flavours more easily. It also cooks faster and can be used to make rice porridges and congees, which need long cooking times. Broken rice is the key component of the famous Vietnamese dish “Cơm tấm”.
